In process work … boy this is fun

Once out of the water we got a look at the bottom. Besides the rudder and skeg it looks good. For the rest of the boat all that with be required is a light sand and then paint. The rudder had (they are gone now) lots of little surface blisters. None were deep and sanding took care of them. The rudder did not have any water intrusion! They skeg has a crack (not fixed yet) from hitting a stump on the way down from Virginia. The damage is to the lower part of the skeg and is part of the sacrificial lower part designed to guard the rudder. The damage is below the last rudder attachment point. I will be patching the crack and adding fiberglass to strengthen that area (1708 bi-axial using Totalboat epoxy). Pictures below show the sanded areas. Weather is good to work on the boat sunny and around 82.
